About CloudFrame

A few hundred COBOL programs decide whether claims get paid and money moves. Nobody wants to touch them. Everybody eventually must.

CloudFrame builds the software that makes that work survivable. Our transformation engine is deterministic: COBOL becomes maintainable, cloud-ready Java with functional equivalence and numeric precision. Same input, same answer to the same decimal place, every run. AI handles discovery and system understanding. It stays out of the path where the numbers must be right.

Customers modernize in increments they can test and reverse, and deploy where they choose: mainframe, on-prem, or cloud. They include UnitedHealth Group, Verizon, Mastercard, Shell Oil, and US Bank, among others.

Why This Market, Why Now

The mainframe isn't going away. Gartner has publicly forecast that most mainframe exit projects launched in 2026 will miss their intended benefits, largely because generative AI was oversold. Meanwhile, sustained investment from IBM and the major platform vendors keeps the mainframe a place where serious money still gets spent.

That distinction is the whole business. We don't sell an exit. We sell optionality: reduce cost today, transform on your own timeline, land on whatever platform makes sense. Whichever way the customer decides, we're in the deal.

The Role

CloudFrame is looking for an Enterprise Account Executive to drive net-new business into Fortune 500 organizations with significant mainframe investments. You'll own the account end to end and keep owning it after the first deal closes. You'll represent a focused, high-value platform against long-established incumbents inside some of the largest IT environments in the world.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full account lifecycle for new-logo enterprise accounts: initial outreach, POC and pilot, first deals, and long-term ownership.
  • Build and execute account strategies to break into large, mainframe-dependent organizations across finance, insurance, telecom, and others.
  • Engage and build relationships with CIOs, VPs of Infrastructure, VPs of Application Development, and related roles.
  • Partner internally and with the customer to create and present a Business Value Assessment to all stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with a dedicated Sales Engineer to execute technical evaluations, POCs, and pilots.
  • Partner with Global Systems Integrators (GSIs) to source, support, and expand opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Account Management following initial close to grow and expand the account over time.
  • Navigate complex procurement processes and multi-stakeholder buying committees.

Why You Can Win Here

You'll sell evidence, not vision. Every deal runs through a proof of concept that produces artifacts a skeptical CIO can audit: converted code, equivalence results, measured cost savings, real performance numbers. That changes the conversation from "trust us" to "check it."

You get a dedicated Sales Engineer, GSI partners already in motion, and references you can name. Deal sizes are large, cycles are long, and the buying committee is real.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of enterprise software sales experience in the commercial sector.
  • A demonstrated track record meeting or exceeding sales targets selling into Fortune 500 accounts, including growing and expanding accounts over time.
  • Comfort running long, complex, multi-threaded sales cycles (12–18 months) and owning the account relationship long-term.
  • Experience partnering directly with Global Systems Integrators (GSIs) during both pre-sales and post-sales.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to sell at the business level, paired with a genuine willingness and aptitude to learn and discuss the underlying technology with technical stakeholders.
  • Prior experience with mainframe technologies is a strong plus, but not required.
  • Based on the East Coast of the US, with a willingness to travel 20% or more.

What We're Offering

  • High autonomy. We trust you to run your book of business and territory the way you know best, in partnership with a VP of Sales who brings deep experience in this market and at CloudFrame.
  • A $10+ billion addressable market that is still largely underpenetrated, with real opportunity for deals that significantly exceed quota.
  • The opportunity to build and extend relationships with some of the largest companies in the world.
  • A well-funded, profitable company already trusted by the category leaders named above.
  • Competitive equity/stock.
  • Full benefits: health, vision, and dental.
  • 401(k) plan with company match up to $10,500 per year.

What This Role Demands

  • You'll source a meaningful share of your own pipeline. There is no mature SDR engine feeding you meetings.
  • You'll sell into a category that isn't pre-sold. Enterprise buyers here have been burned before and will make you earn the room.
  • You'll hold your own with infrastructure and application development leaders. The technical conversation isn't one you hand to the SE and step back from.
  • You'll measure success in years, not quarters. First deals in these accounts take 12–18 months, and the expansion is where the real money is.
